Hi! I am a comedy writer, comedian, content creator, and husband to an entrepreneurial perimenopausal wife.
Perimenopause is, in fact, the best thing that ever happened for my comedy career. That sounds insensitive but I promise, my wife approves. After posting my "tips for men whose wives are going through perimenopause" video on Instagram and it going viral with millions of views - and being featured in People Magazine - I realized this is who I am now.
I didn't think my career would become about spoofing the many sides of my wife, but here we are. 🤷♂️
What I've discovered is my videos of impersonating my wife are validating for female entrepreneurs, perimenopausal women, women carrying the mental load in their work and relationships, and just women in general who see themselves in me (as my wife). I get thousands of comments from women around the world saying, "I am her!" It's like an "I am Spartacus" scenario.
With that said, I'm not just the "king of perimenopause" (self-anointed), I'm also a stand up comedian and comedy writer. My 1/2 hr TV pilot, "On the Line" won Stage32's 4th Annual TV Comedy Screenwriting Competition; I've performed in stand up festivals around the country; and my satire writing has appeared in McSweeney's (and some sites you've never heard of). <--And I'm not afraid to end a sentence with a preposition. OK, truth be told, I'm a little afraid, but I'm going for it.
I collaborate with brands, media, and organizations looking to communicate about relationships, wellbeing, and modern culture in a way that feels sharp, human, and widely relatable.
I've also been a satirical business keynote speaker, am the creator of ego-baby.com, a satirical site that spoofs the new age/spirituality scene (think goop.com meets The Onion) and the podcast, The Only Advice You Need, an extension of my satirical keynote character, that offers terrible - bizarre - leadership advice.
